Athlete & Parent Guide
Everything you need to compete as a Noble Bear — how eligibility works, what game days require, how to get a physical, and how to join a team. Bookmark this page and check back each season.
Staying Eligible
Eligibility is what keeps you on the field, court, or mat. Here’s how it works at Noble.
- Pass five classes. To be eligible for activities, a student must pass at least five classes at the end of each semester.
- Weekly checks. After each semester, eligibility is reviewed every week. A student who fails any class (or combination of classes) for two weeks in a row loses eligibility until grades come back up.
- It covers everything. These rules apply to all extracurricular activities — games, dances, prom, and more.
Game-Day Attendance
To take part in a practice, game, or event, a student must be present at school for at least four periods that day. If something comes up, contact the school before the absence — exceptions are handled case by case by administration.
Sports Physicals
Every athlete needs a current physical on file before they can try out or practice.
- Required yearly. A valid OSSAA sports physical must be completed and on file each school year.
- Submitted through RankOne. Noble uses RankOne for physicals and athletic forms. See our Get a Sports Physical page for the step-by-step.
Travel & Transportation
- Ride with the team. Athletes travel to practices, games, and contests on school transportation.
- Riding home with a parent. In some cases a parent may take their own child home after an event — the coach or sponsor must approve it, ideally ahead of time.
Conduct & Sportsmanship
Representing Noble is a privilege. Athletes are held to the school’s code of conduct on and off the field.
- Drug-free. Noble is a drug- and alcohol-free school; the district’s policies and consequences apply to athletes at all times.
- Good citizenship. Athletes are expected to show respect to officials, opponents, teammates, and fans, and to follow team and school rules.
- Grades and behavior matter. Discipline and academic issues can affect eligibility and playing time.
