AP Exams for Every Noble Resident
Advanced Placement Exams are available to all students who live within the Noble Public Schools district — including students who are homeschooled, attend a private school, or learn online — whether or not they take the class at Noble High School. Here is what we offer, when to register, and what it costs.

Who Can Take an AP Exam Here
Access is based on where you live, not where you go to school. Noble Public Schools makes AP Exams available to every student who resides within the district’s boundaries:
- Noble High School students — whether or not they are enrolled in the AP course.
- Homeschooled students who live in the district.
- Students at private or other nonpublic schools who live in the district.
- Virtual and online students, and students in any other educational setting, who live in the district.
Exam access is not course enrollment. The law covers the exam itself. A student does not have to have taken an AP course to sit for an AP Exam, and Noble Public Schools does not provide AP instruction to students who are not enrolled in the district. Exams are given at Noble High School on College Board’s published dates.
Enrolled in an AP class at NHS? Your exam is ordered with your class, and students in an AP course are expected to take the corresponding exam — the Academic Planner and Course Catalog explains how AP credit and grade weighting work. Talk to your AP teacher or counselor with any questions.
Exams Offered
These are the Advanced Placement courses taught at Noble High School and the exams we order every year.
| Exam | NHS course | Exam date | Session |
|---|---|---|---|
| AP Human Geography | Grades 10–12 | Monday, May 3, 2027 | Morning |
| AP Biology | Grades 11–12 | Monday, May 3, 2027 | Afternoon |
| AP Calculus AB | Grades 11–12 | Monday, May 10, 2027 | Morning |
| AP English Language and Composition | Grades 11–12 | Wednesday, May 12, 2027 | Morning |
Morning sessions begin at 8 a.m. and afternoon sessions at 12 p.m. College Board sets these dates and does not permit early testing or testing at other times.
Want an exam that is not on this list? Any exam on College Board’s 2027 AP Exam schedule — AP U.S. History, AP Psychology, AP Computer Science Principles, and the rest — can be requested. Ask the AP coordinator by the registration deadline and we will order it if College Board’s ordering rules and our testing schedule allow.
Key Dates for 2026–27
Noble’s deadline comes first so we can place the order with College Board on time. The rest are College Board’s dates.
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| Friday, October 30, 2026 | Noble registration deadline. Request your exams and pay by this date. |
| November 13, 2026 | College Board’s fall ordering deadline. Requests after Noble’s deadline are accepted only while College Board still allows the order, and exams ordered after this date carry a $40 late fee each. |
| January 22, 2027 | College Board’s deadline to request testing accommodations for the May exams (see Accommodations). |
| March 12, 2027 | College Board’s final deadline for late orders. No exam can be added after this date. |
| May 3–14, 2027 | AP Exams are given over two weeks at Noble High School. |
| May 17–21, 2027 | Late testing, only for reasons College Board allows (such as illness or two exams at the same time). |
| July 2027 | Scores are released to students through their College Board account. |
How to Register
Four steps. Students in an AP class at NHS are registered through their class; everyone else starts with step 1.
-
Contact the AP coordinator by October 30
Email or call the Noble High School counseling office (see Contact) with the student’s full name, date of birth, grade, current school or homeschool status, and the exams requested. A parent or guardian should make the request for a student under 18.
-
Join your exam section in My AP
College Board requires every student to have a free College Board account and to join an exam section at My AP using a join code from the coordinator. Students who are not enrolled at NHS are placed in an exam-only section.
-
Pay the exam fee
$99 per exam, due with your registration. The coordinator will confirm how to pay. Requests made after Noble’s deadline may carry College Board’s $40 late fee (see Fees).
-
Watch for your testing details
In the spring you will receive your exam date, arrival time, room, and what to bring. Most AP Exams are now taken in College Board’s Bluebook app on a computer; we will tell you whether a district device is provided or you bring your own.
On Exam Day
Arrive at least 30 minutes before the session starts. Students who do not attend Noble High School must bring a photo ID. Bring pencils and pens, and an approved calculator only for exams that allow one. Phones and smartwatches are collected and stored for the entire exam. College Board does not permit early testing or testing at times other than those published.
Fees
Exam fees are set by College Board each year and passed on at cost. These are the 2026–27 figures and apply to every student, whether or not they attend Noble High School.
| Item | 2026–27 amount |
|---|---|
| AP Exam | $99 per exam |
| Late order | $40 per exam, added to the exam fee for any exam requested after November 13, 2026 |
| Canceled or unused exam | $40 per exam, charged by College Board for any exam canceled after November 13, 2026, or ordered but not taken |
| Fee reduction | College Board reduces its fee by $37 per exam for students who meet its low-income eligibility guidelines. Ask the AP coordinator whether you qualify. |
Amounts are College Board’s published 2026–27 rates and may change. Ask the AP coordinator about refunds before canceling an exam. Fee details: AP Exam Fees at College Board.
Testing Accommodations
Students with documented disabilities can take AP Exams with accommodations such as extended time, extra breaks, or large-print or assistive-technology formats. College Board must approve accommodations in advance — a school IEP or 504 plan on its own does not carry over to the exam.
- Start early. College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) can take up to seven weeks to decide, and the request deadline for the May 2027 exams is January 22, 2027.
- Already approved by College Board? Accommodations approved for the PSAT or SAT apply to AP Exams too. Tell the coordinator when you register.
- NHS students with an IEP or 504 plan should ask their counselor or case manager to submit the request through the school.
- Students who do not attend NHS should contact the AP coordinator as soon as possible so the request and documentation can be submitted through College Board’s SSD Online system.
How it works at College Board: Request AP Exam Accommodations. The district’s Section 504/ADA coordinator is Dr. Seth Meier, smeier@nobleps.com, (405) 239-3705.
