Good Afternoon NPS: The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Cleveland County Health Department (CCHD) have issued the following revised guidelines for quarantining which begin immediately. Please contact any of our nurses if you have questions or need further information. Thank you. Local public health authorities determine and establish the quarantine options for their jurisdictions. CDC currently recommends a quarantine period of 14 days. However, based on local circumstances and resources, the following options to shorten quarantine are acceptable alternatives. • Quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing and if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring. o With this strategy, residual post-quarantine transmission risk is estimated to be about 1% with an upper limit of about 10%. • When diagnostic testing resources are sufficient and available (see bullet 3, below), then quarantine can end after Day 7 if a diagnostic specimen tests negative and if no symptoms were reported during daily monitoring. The specimen may be collected and tested within 48 hours before the time of planned quarantine discontinuation (e.g., in anticipation of testing delays), but quarantine cannot be discontinued earlier than after Day 7: THIS MEAN THAT SOMEONE THAT TESTS NEGATIVE AT DAY 5 OR AFTER MUST REMAIN IN QUARANTINE THROUGH DAY 7, BUT ARE RELEASED AFTER DAY 7 WITHOUT REQUIRING AN ADDITIONAL NEGATIVE TEST AND ASSUMING NO SYMPTOMS ARE PRESENT. o With this strategy, the residual post-quarantine transmission risk is estimated to be about 5% with an upper limit of about 12%. In both cases, additional criteria (e.g., continued symptom monitoring and masking through Day 14) must be met and are outlined in the full text. Congratulations to the following Noble FFA members: Jackson Stewart & Madyson Wilson finished 2nd & 4th in the Regional FFA Freshman Greenhand Quiz competition. Stewart moves on to the State Greenhand Quiz Finals. The following FFA members recently competed in the Area FFA Sporting Clays competition. Senior team of Nic Benton, Colton Hefner, Jackson Stewart, & Ryan Taylor placed 3rd as a team and Jackson Stewart was 3rd high individual. Junior team of Tate Baze, Ethan McMahan, Haden Meyer, & Parker Wynne placed 2nd as a team & Haden Meyer was 2nd high individual. Both teams advance to the State Sporting Clays competition to be held on November 18th. Go Bears!
